Scotland’s Only Highland Games and Country Fair
For 2017 we are expanding to TWO DAYS and will run the Gordon Castle Highland Games and Country Fair on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st May.
New for 2017, visitors to Saturday’s fair will step back in time as we pay homage to the Castle’s heyday and the influence Speyside and Moray has across the world. Focusing on traditional skills, dress, music and agriculture from 1900s – 1940s, the day will including rare breeds, heavy horses and none other than the amazing racing pigs! Complete with our brand new vintage village and speakeasy session, the Saturday will also include a charity ‘We’re a Knockout’ competition, in collaboration with Moray Licensed Traders, raising money for Alzheimers Scotland.
On Sunday our traditional Highland Games returns and, for the first time, we will host the Scottish 28lb Weight for Distance championships! We will also welcome our terrier racing, gun dog display, falconry and – new for 2017 – the amazing racing pigs! So much more information to follow but we can categorically say that our 2017 event will have something for everyone.
